Simplifying

Its summer! Hope everyone is enjoying it so far.

Just an update, I am trying to streamline the way I do things these days. I am finding that I have too many blogs and sites to update, so I am moving my blog over and concentrating on my illustrations. You can follow me a couple places now.

This is my first attempt at photo-realism. I have decided that I want to concentrate primarily on "Concept Art" I have always stuck to the cartoons and there is just something really relaxing about painting in Photoshop. More to come.

Atlantis

I seem to be on a role these days. Once I get started, I can't stop. I have so many things in my head right now that I would love to illustrate, but I have been on such a time crunch. Anyways this is the last piece I did. I can't believe that I spent two weeks on this. I created it for a contest on Deviant Art. I am still adding some final details to the piece, so in reality, I don't think its quite done yet! Work in progress. I must like driving myself crazy!

"In My Dreams"

I constantly love to challenge myself with my illustrations. I love fantasy art, I love everything about it, the mystical element, the colours, the shapes. You can get as creative as you want and get away with it. This piece took me quite a while, but it is now one of my favorite pieces. I enjoyed every single minute of creating this illustration.

Fire and Light Studio

About the artist
We were approached by Fire and Light Studio, to create a logo that reflected there work and medium. On top of that they wanted an abstract look to their business card.

About the Artist

Caroline M. Vuyadinov was born in East Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1967 and grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She earned a B.A. from Beloit College in 1990, where she studied art history and studio arts. She also studied art at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Caroline earned a M. Div. from St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary in Crestwood, N.Y. in 1995.

Our Crazy Family

We have often been told we have far too many animals. Well that is probably true, the thing that makes our family a bit more interesting is the baggage that our animals carry. I guess this is what happens when you "rescue" half your animals.

There is Abby our black and white cat, who is bi-polar, loves you one minute is biting you the next, Lucky the white cat who was living in someone's car in the middle of winter. She hates everything and everyone, but loves me. Then there are our crazy birds, one hates life and the other one is constantly signing Beethoven's Symphony and cat calling at anyone who will listen. Gizmo is likely the life of the party. Half pug, half Jack Russell and hell on wheels. He thinks hes in charge and most of the time he is.

So, I thought it was about time to depict our crazy little family. What better way to say I love you on Valentines Day!

Jack Shephard - Lost, Rough Illustration

The Oceanic 6- Rough Drawing

I have decided to complete a series of Lost Illustrations. This is a very rough illustration of the piece I am currently working on. One of the things love about Lost is the intermingling story lines.

I would eventually like to illustrate a piece for every major event that takes place in the show. One of the key points of the show, while not my favourite was the "Oceanic 6" Much of the shows story line revolved around this event.
